This year again, the prestigious Blue Flag label was again attributed to beaches of Anglade, Lavandou center, Saint-Clair, La Fossette, Aiguebelle, Cavalière and Pramousquier. This label, recognized as well in France and internationally, is determined by a multitude of criteria aimed at guaranteeing optimal water quality (sanitation, anti-pollution fight, etc.) and preserving a healthy environment (waste management, awareness of the natural environment, etc.) in busy areas intensively.

At the same time, the Municipality has for many years been awarded the Bathing Water Quality Approach label, emphasizing its continued commitment to high standards.

Since 2019, the City of Lavandou is a proud signatory of the national charter for beaches without plastic waste. This commitment is materialized through various initiatives in the areas of awareness, prevention and cleaning:

  • installation of selective sorting bins on the beaches,
  • distribution of reusable beach ashtrays,
  • installation of “Don’t throw anything away, the sea begins here” buttons around the drains,

En 2022, the City of Lavandou also subscribed to the regional charter for characterful beaches, highlighting the exemplary management of Posidonia benches. An approach illustrating the municipality's ongoing commitment to preservation and enhancement of its exceptional natural environment.
