What is the best season to visit Lavandou?

Le Lavandou benefits from a pleasant Mediterranean climate all year round. The summer months, from June to September, are the most popular due to warm temperatures and summer activities. However, the period between April/May, October, or even December offers pleasant temperatures, numerous outdoor activities and a relaxed lifestyle in Provence. Where is the Lavandou tourist office located?

The Lavandou tourist office is located at 153 Quai Gabriel Péri.
On the seafront between the port and the town center of Le Lavandou, right next to the pétanque courts, in a historic building that resembles a castle.

Where is the ferry terminal?

The company Vedettes Iles d'Or et le Corsaire provides regular lines from the ferry terminal, Quai des Iles d'Or (parking opposite the Tourist Office) to the Levant Islands, Port-Cros and Porquerolles, excursions to Saint-Tropez via Cavalaire-sur-Mer and La Croix-Valmer and as well as cruises. You could also rent a boat with or without a license.

Where is the departure point for the little tourist train?

The “station” of the little train is located on Quai Gabriel Péri, you cross the road opposite the tourist office, and enjoy a guided tour along the beaches to discover the history of Lavandou.

Where to find toilets?

Several paid public toilets are located in Lavandou: Quai des îles d'or car park, Sun car park, Market car park, in Saint-Clair Pendent pins car park, in Cavalière, on Place Bourdan. The map distributed at the tourist office allows you to spot them.

Where to connect to wifi?

Several wifi spots are accessible and free in Lavandou to connect to WIFI.

Where can I park my vehicle in Le Lavandou?

Le Lavandou has several free and paid car parks from April to November. The Flowbird mobile app makes parking easy; no need for change, bank cards or paper tickets. Some blue zones, where the disc is compulsory, allow quick parking (less than 15 or 30 minutes), free parking for bicycles and 2 wheels.

Found item/lost item, what to do?

If you have found an object, please drop it off at the Municipal Police, 2 avenue Jules Ferry. If you have lost an item, my advice is to do it in the opposite direction. If you think you have lost it in the city center, near the office, people who find it generally drop it off at reception, with luck, we will have it! What is the nearest train station?

This is the Hyères SNCF station, 23km from Le Lavandou. Without a direct bus from this station (Joffre center stop 1,7 km away for bus connection), we advise you to contact a taxi/VTC, friendly friends or to choose Toulon station (the bus station is next door).

Where to park a motorhome?

Motorhomes are welcome from 8 a.m. to 20 p.m. in the city's various paid car parks. Outside of this time slot, a campervan area is located in Cavalière and open all year round (with water and electricity services).

Where can I park my car before taking the boat?

In Lavandou, paid car parks allow you to park your car for a day or more in complete safety. Market car park, parking is free but prohibited on Thursdays until 15 p.m. (market day). Learn more about parking.

Where to take a bike ride in Lavandou?

The cycle route of the V65 coastline from Six-Fours to Saint-Raphaël (120 km, largely developed) allows you to travel along the Var coast following the route of the old Provence railway line and crossing 20 communes including Le Lavandou, you you can go east towards Rayol-Canadel along the fine sandy beaches of Lavandou or west towards Hyères-les-Palmiers.

How to see dolphins?

Sea trips are offered from the ferry terminal from June to September. The beaches of Lavandou

How to know the water temperature?

In summer, the lifeguard stations record the water temperature every morning and display it on site. It is also available on the weather sheet displayed at the tourist office and in line here.

Are the beaches monitored?

The beaches are supervised in season from June to September.
4 lifeguard stations on the beaches of Anglade, the city center, Saint-Clair and Cavalière provide surveillance from May 15 to September 30 (or in season or summer). On the unsupervised beaches of Aiguebelle, La Fossette, Jean-Blanc, end of Cap-Nègre and Pramousquier, emergency call terminals are installed from June to September (or in season or summer).

Is the beach accessible to people with reduced mobility?

The use of the tiralo is reserved for people with reduced mobility. It is made available to users who must be accompanied at all times by a trusted person from their entourage for safe use. The use of the tiralo is only authorized under a green flame and subject to authorization from the rescuers.

Where to swim with children?

The supervised beaches in the city center (east side) and Saint-Clair (west side boat garages) are the beaches most suitable for children with little depth.

Are dogs allowed on the beaches?

Access to the beaches is prohibited for dogs, even on a leash, from April 1 to October 31, with the exception of dogs intended to help people with disabilities. Var beaches allow them to be kept on a leash: Tamaris beach in La Londe-les-Maures on its easternmost part, Cabasson beach in Bormes-les-Mimosas on the pebble part to the west towards the Fort or all the beaches in the town of Ramatuelle.

What water sports can you practice?

The city center beach and harbor offer several nautical activities : sailing school, diving centers, boat rental with or without a license, paddle / kayak, sea fishing. Cavalière beach also has a sailing school, parasailing, jet-ski. Some private beaches also rent paddle boards and other watercraft.

Are there naturist beaches in Lavandou?

On the Layet and Rossignol beaches, naturism is tolerated by municipal decree.
