New ephemeral garden in Lavandou!

Spring has arrived, the gardens are blooming and you have probably already started yours. After the “Jardin Branché” (2017) and “Music in the Garden” (2018), Le Lavandou invites you to discover the ephemeral garden “des Galinettes”.
Visit it on square of the Town Hall.
Once again, the Lavandou gardeners surprise you with their new layout.

Chickens are in the spotlight at Lavandou!

This year, the theme is focused on ecology with galinettes (little chickens).
Admire the 12 breeds present in the Lavandou garden. They allow reduce the volume of waste but also to improve the soil quality.

Do you know how ?
The chickens of ephemeral garden of Lavandou are fed with food waste from the communal restaurant. In addition, their droppings serve asnatural ecological fertilizer.
Tractor, straw, scarecrow, … find all the elements relating to the farm who slipped into the ephemeral garden through a rich and diverse vegetation.

  • Saturday April 27 at 15 p.m. and 17 p.m. : screening of the film “Chicken Run”, directed by Nick Park and Peter Lord. From 4 years old.
  • Wednesday May 1st at 14:30 p.m. : “The little red hen who wanted to bake bread”, a kamishibai tale (a paper theater game from Japan), performed by Carole Zaveroni.
  • Saturday May 4 at 15 p.m. and 17 p.m. : screening of the film “Chicken Little”, directed by Mark Dindal. From 4 years old.
  • Saturday May 11 at 14:30 p.m. : show “The little hen who wanted to see the sea”, performed by the Rhapsodies Nomades theater company.
  • Thursday May 30 in the afternoon : musical entertainment.
  • Saturday June 1st at 14:30 p.m. : Reading of stories by Sandrine Ubeda and drawing workshop with Marc Ubeda.
  • Sunday June 9 at 10 a.m. : guided tour of the ephemeral garden and surrounding gardens as part of the national event “Les rendez-vous au jardin”.
