Francis Marmier is a great collector of cacti. In 1980, he bought a one hectare plot of land, part of an old property which in the XNUMXth century was planted with citrus fruits and flowers intended for sale. This terraced garden (terraces supported by dry stone walls) built at the end of the XNUMXth century by Piedmontese workers is located near the sea. On the lower terrace, Francis Marmier planted frost-resistant cacti around a pond in a joyful disorder full of poetry, in the middle of bamboos, cycads, wisteria, echiums… In a greenhouse are installed the American cacti which must be protected from frost. The upper terraces are planted with citrus fruits (orange trees, lemon trees, kumquats), olive trees and argan trees brought from Morocco.
