Hike on the heights of Lavandou
With this beautiful sun, a hike from Lavandou in the Maures massif is essential. And then, what's better than starting the day with a little hike? – well, “small”, it’s 3h30 of walking all the same – The route is 12 km long with an elevation gain of 550 m. You need a minimum of stamina. And yes! The climbs are sometimes quite steep.
But take courage, it’s worth it: the views are magnificent.
Walk between land and sea
Departing from Cavalière, 5 km from the town center of Le Lavandou, this hike passes above the large bay of Cavalière. And extends from Pointe du Layet to Cap Nègre.

To start, take the big climb, and once at the top, turn around.
Now admire the scenery. This is when a 180° view is offered to you.
You are facing the islands of Levant and Port-Cros.
The hike is well marked. But if you are not the adventurous soul, a topo guide is available at the Lavandou Tourist Office. So you will leave with more peace of mind.
The hike lasts approximately 3 hours. Make the fun last, and bring a picnic to take a break halfway. Balcony well!
