Chemin des Abeilles… Laurent Martin couldn’t dream of a better address for his honey house, located in the Saint-Clair district. Whatever the time of year, Laurent always has an occupation that he likes to share with all those who visit him: extracting honey, making wax bars, frames, etc.
It lives to the rhythm of its 48 million bees distributed in 500 hives, installed in the Maures massif. The large varieties of southern flowers present in this place make it possible to make honey renowned for the excellent quality of its pollen. Laurent Martin produces an average of 10 tonnes of honey each year, without additives or preservatives.
The top of the range honey in five varieties. The most popular: lavender honey. It is the Provençal honey par excellence. Its color is golden yellow, its taste is very smooth and its fragrance is delicate. The all-flower honey from Provence is long in the mouth. Its flavor is aromatic, vegetal, floral or fruity. Chestnut honey has a tannic, slightly bitter flavor. Acacia honey, very sweet, is widely used as a natural sugar to flavor yogurts, cottage cheeses and tea. And finally the spring honey with red tones is full-bodied in taste. Other products derived from honey can be discovered in store.
