Description

Opposite the entrance to Parc Peiresc, locate the village house on the corner where the Post Office ("Belgentier PTT") is located. The route follows the GR®9 and is fully marked red and white. Take Rue de Cuers which quickly changes its name as soon as you leave the village to become Chemin des Turcos. Continue straight on for 250 m on this small road starting to climb. When it turns 90° to the right, turn left onto a concrete path which climbs steeply for 60 m towards a private property.1- Turn right just before, onto a stony path which then zigzags up between a few villas and the stone walls of the terraces planted with olive trees. Stay on the main path, ignoring the side departures towards the different plots.2- Come out on an old track overgrown with vegetation ("Piste de la Cabane") and continue the path opposite, a little to the right, via three rocky steps . The slope becomes steeper and after a few rocky bends, cross the edge of Barres de Cuers.3- At the foot of Trubis (cairn) head to the right to the end of the track. After a DFCI cistern, it continues with a path along the cliffs (be careful near the edge!). Follow this path for around 400 m to stop just before it goes down on the other side of this first bar.4- Turn around and return by the same route in the opposite direction.
